Product Manager - Airport IT (Munich, Germany, Europe)

The company acts both as a worldwide network connecting travel providers and travel agencies through a highly effective processing platform for the distribution of travel products and services (through our Distribution business), and as a provider of a comprehensive portfolio of IT solutions which automate certain mission-critical business processes, such as reservations, inventory management and operations for travel providers (through our IT solutions business).

Responsibilities:

- In line with the overall business plan of the Airport IT Business line, translate the Product Portfolio into concrete product requirements and support the Development teams in defining the specifications of the solutions.

- Define overall offering (e.g. modules breakdown and priorities, high level product requirements, delivery constraints…).

- Test concept and requirements with some key Airports / Airlines.

- Validate target list for each module (Airport segments, Airlines, Ground Handlers…).

- Prepare product presentation material, Product Concepts and Overview documents, Demos, Sales sheets…

- Support pre-sales activities and perform product presentation to potential customers.

- Evaluate customer requirements for customization and prioritize them.

- Support sales for RFP preparation by being responsible for the functional responses.

- Construction and follow up of the Product Plan

Qualifications & Skills:

- University Degree in IT Engineering and/or Marketing.

- 5 years’ experience in in supplying IT Solutions to Airports and it’s operators are required.

- 3 years’ experience as product manager or activities closely linked to product management are required.

- Oral and written communication skills are essential.

- Basic financial competences are needed.

- Functional expertise in airport systems is required such as AODB, Resource management, - Contract Management, FIDS, CUTE, Baggage Handling, A-CDM and Sequence planning.

- A good understanding of current and future technologies used by airports is also needed such as UNIX, RDBMS, TTY, XML, Wireless communication, localization….

- Fluent spoken and written English; German will be a plus.
