Responsibilities:
- Develop product strategy for a family of products and tools used across Travelocity to gain voice of the customer (VOC), perform onsite analytics. - Evolve the products under management to ensure that Travelocity delivers the best experience possible to a diverse customer base. Support the organizations’ analytics needs by ensuring our installations of multiple instrumentation systems (e.g. SiteCatalyst, Test-n-Target, other Adobe and Omniture tools, Google Analytics, and others are appropriate, productive, and stable. - Manage multiple vendor relationships across the spectrum of reporting, analysis, testing, and customer feedback tools in use or stages of implementation for Travelocity. - Manage the product lifecycle for each toolset, from understanding a concept or the current state, assessing gaps, defining key capabilities, working across the organization to develop requirements. Serve in a program management capacity for significant implementations or upgrades. - Work closely with Procurement specialists to define, manage and renew contracts as needed. - Support financial tracking and reporting for usage and expenses as required. - Work with the development team to understand trade-offs, through product launch and for the ongoing management of the product post launch. Work with other product managers and multiple agile development teams in development and deployment for tools, features and upgrades, with active participation in requirements, testing, and assessing deployment success. Collaborate with stakeholder teams including analysis, finance, marketing, P&L managers, and other product managers, to communicate improvements and capabilities as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 4-6 years experience, preferably in product management. - 2+ years in a strategic consulting firm, and/or MBA preferred. - Some experience with vendor management processes and contracting. - Strong technical acumen necessary due to complexity of the overall product line. - Experience as a power user of at least some of the analytics tool types under management. - E-commerce, travel, or consumer/retail or technology development experience a solid plus. - Strong interpersonal skills (externally and internally at all levels) required. - Demonstrated experience communicating with senior managers and with technical teams. - Demonstrated experience in modeling, analysis, research, and presentation creation. - Experience managing large, cross-functional projects.
