Product Manager, Developer SDK and 3rd Party Applications (San Jose, CA, USA, North America)

Founded in 1997, TiVo, a pioneer in home entertainment, created a brand-new product and service category with the development of the world's first digital video recorder (DVR). Today, the company continues to revolutionize the way consumers watch and access home entertainment, by making the TiVo DVR the focal point of the digital living room: a center for sharing and experiencing television, movies, video downloads, music, photos, and more.

Responsibilities:

- Define the strategy and business plan for 3rd party applications on TiVo, and the roadmap and definitions for the TiVo developer SDK and APIs; identify and partner with the right set of application developers to bring new and unique value to the TiVo platform.

- Write MRDs and PRDs and other collateral to communicate the vision, strategy, and feature set for the APIs/SDK and developer program.

- Work with UX, Engineering, and Program Management to deliver releases of the SDK and APIs to TiVo developers and partners.

- Work directly with third party application developers to help bring their applications to TiVo platforms.

- Evangelize the TiVo developer SDK to application developers and TiVo strategic partners.

- Work with Business Development and Legal to facilitate on-boarding of third party applications.

- Work with Marketing and PR to communicate features and benefits of TiVo platform development to partners.

- Work within the Product Management team to ensure synchronization of developer platform features with other feature development and customer initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Demonstration of leadership, high-energy, and superior cross-functional communication and collaboration.

- Created or significantly grown an SDK / API / developer platform.

- Have been successful in developer relations role.

- Personally developed consumer applications in a widely deployed 3rd party application framework.

- Deep knowledge of other application developer platforms in the CE and mobile space.

- Prior experience managing and negotiating external relationships and contracts.

- Strong presentation skills; extensive experience speaking to executive leadership and technical audiences, both internal and external.

- Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.

- Work history of managing multiple projects and prioritizing activities for optimal results.

- References that can speak to your strong team orientation and a track record of working collaboratively with internal and external team members in a fast-paced environment.

- Bachelor’s degree required, technical discipline preferred, or equivalent work experience.

- MBA preferred.
