Global Product Manager - Magnetics (Dublin, CA, USA, North America)

Responsibilities:

- Work with the Cooper Bussmann CET management team to develop, agree and implement strategic and tactical plans, including an annual business plan, taking full responsibility for delivery of that plan.

- Maximize the sales and profit growth of all Fuse products and services within the agreed business scope.

- Develop and implement long range (3-5yr) strategic plan identifying target markets, product development roadmap, global sales channel, operations and resource investments.

- Maintain an active business development funnel for technology or business acquisitions as appropriate.

- Once acquisitions are completed, establish organizational structure, identify and appoint functional staff leaders, develop and execute an integration plan that does not disrupt revenue or profit plans.

- Establish product development through disciplined use of a stage gate Product Development process and drive successful launch of these products in their target markets on schedule and on budget.

- Working with Operations and Finance, prioritize and drive profit improvement across all underperforming product lines using structured continuous improvement tools.

- Lead regional product management teams, as appropriate, to insure there is a regionalized strategy and execution for the product line to achieve proper pricing, promotion, product and technology range and placement through direct and influenced management of Cooper Bussmann and CET functional organizations (e.g. sales, finance, operations, etc.).

- Evaluating and investing resources in the highest return growth opportunities. Driving new product innovation to a technical and cost leadership position in all served markets.

- Achieving regional, product and market brand and share leadership within the served product space.

- Understands and can articulate the regional and global competitive landscape for the Fuse market. Is able to gather commercial and technical market requirements, drives Product & Technology roadmaps and collaboration successfully across CET functions.

- Defines & drives development and launch of new products.

- Provide concise, accurate and timely reports as required focused on business plan performance.

- Lead Business Unit level activities in support of corporate initiatives including Customer Loyalty, Innovation, Globalization, Talent Development, Diversity, Safety and Continuous Improvement.

- Coordinates among CET organizations to align and insure adequate coverage of strategic growth markets and accounts that meet overall share, revenue and profitability targets.


Qualifications & Skills:

- A Bachelor or Master of Science in Electrical or Electronics engineering, MBA preferred.

- 10 - 15 yrs of progressively increasing responsibility within Electronics Sales, Product Management or Engineering. Must have at some years of experience in operations.

- Prior P&L experience, track record of delivering sustained and profitable revenue growth and creating shareholder value.

- Financial competence, familiarity with planning, forecasting P&L and Sales & Operations Planning required.

- Strong technical acumen within the electronic use of electronic magnetics and inductor domains.

- End market experience in power management systems (DC:DC) within consumer, computing, automotive or communications (telecom infrastructure) a plus.

- Direct experience with electronics products in Asia and Europe is required.

- Familiarity with Global OEM sales processes, reference design process with IC design and manufacturing businesses, and the OEM supply chain process (spec-in to contract manufacturer/EMS) is required.

- Experience with or strong understanding of distribution within N. America, Europe and Asia is required.

- Prior ex-patriot assignments a plus.
